the rabbit embodies the essence of a tempestuous spirit - perhaps that is why the levin she claims as her own comes to naturally to her weave. fierce and battled hardened, river has not allowed her turns of experience to dampen the woman she is. instead, they've helped define her, sharpen the edges into the creature she is today.that creature is one of complexities. she's often the first on the field, and always the last off - committed to every cause she pledges herself to and even more so to the people she cares about.and yet beneath the façade of mercenary, captain, killer, there's genuine kindness and concern for the people she commands and even more for those she cares for. for over the years, compassion has become her most favored trait and the virtue she strives the most for. for it is compassion that stays the blade and compassion that steels relationships amidst turmoil.

born to a viera wanderer and raised by a pair of Ala Mhigan artisans, River experienced that great city for only a few summers before the weight of the Mad King's hubris brought the city-state to its knees beneath the yoke of Gaius van Baelsar's XIVth Legion. Fleeing the war torn country, her family followed the crush of refugees to Thanalan, where a better life hardly awaited them.Growing up in the dichotomy of Ul'dah - River has experienced the very best and worst that Ul'dah offers those that have called it home. From living the squalid tents of Little Ala Mhigo, to working within some of the most gilt halls within the walled city - the viera has built a long career as an immensely competent fighter. First, as an officer with the Immortal Flames, and more recently as a mercenary free blade, working for various free companies contracted in and about Ul'dah. Her experience has taken her across the world and back again - she's worked for Doman houses and fought in the liberation campaign for Ala Mhigo.

The easiest in with our leporine friend. Need a mercenary for any legal job? River's possibly your woman - she comes with years of experience as a professional soldier, and is happy to take any role, from a consultant to bounty hunter to hired arm.

A burgeoning mage, River has taken to devouring whatever knowledge she can get her hands on in relation to nearly any means of magical theory and application. She frequents the libraries of Ul'dah, and maintains a small collection of books within her apartment there. The rava spends many an afternoon lost in books around the city, and is always eager to learn more - through both practical and theoretical means.

The womans accent and attitude hold little secret in terms to her homeplace. But a rava Ala Mhigan? Truly rare, and perhaps worth approaching her about? But that's hardly the only reason to approach one of Rhalgr's children - she'll easily wax poetic about the city she bled to save, or grumble with fellow survivors of the refugee camp so many of them grew up in.

Perhaps an odd sight in Ul'dah - a viera with a child. A child distinctly not purely viera. The toddler has her mother's ears, the upturned nose and paws, but an astute eye would easily pick up the dark scales along her neck and sides of her face, or the silver limbal rings about her brilliantly lavender eyes.
